Down With the Sickness

So, did I mention that the night Liam was born (monday), I slept between Natalie and a drafty window, and woke up feeling a little under the weather? Did I relate that under said weather, I decided, in order to ease the tension, that I should do some push ups, crunches, and go out for a run around lakewood? Well, I did. After several dozen pushups and crunches, I stretched my ever sore hamstrings and trotted out of the hospital while Nat and the baby were sleeping. Still feeling a bit off, I didn't run too hard. I just jogged. For a mile.

Then I walk/jogged another mile, around Madison up to Lakewood high, and ran the stairs of the football stands there a few times, and then walked back to Lakewood Hospital after more pushups in the nice, fresh, nonhospital air. I felt that maybe it was the heat or the stress that had kept me from really working out. (seriously, this kind of shit is now a light day for me.) Well, I steadily felt worse throughout the day. On wednesday night, I actually left the hospital (and Nat and Liam behind) because I had a high fever. Yesterday I felt worse, but had no fever, but still ran around like crazy preping the apartment for the arrival of the new baby. I felt like shit. I looked like shit.

Today, I finally went to the doctor.

I have fucking Pneumonia. Apparently, I've had walking pneumonia for a while, an indeterminate time, but for some months. I am now on all kinds of meds to help clear it up, and I have a newborn and a post-surgery wife to take care of, and a two year old.

I still can't believe I went for 2 + miles with pneumonia. Jeez.

Anyway, here's some cute feet!
