Last Thursday Night I had to end a fun time of being massacred in COD2(27 deaths, Thanks Umbee Capt ,PDT etc) to go out to dinner. The dinner actually was an excuse to get me to be a wingman. Now long story short dinner is over and we move over to the brewery part for some more drinks. I pull out my wallet and pay for the round when my "date" grabs my wallet out of my hands and starts going over it. I cant believe how rude this "woman" is but Im trying to be polite and I would never grab a woman no matter what. So she see my EB Edge cardand asks what it is. I answer its a discount card for video games at Electronics Boutique. She then goes arent you a bit old to still being playing video games? I said no but I am a member of 2old2play. I then said  Im also old enough to know you dont grab a persons wallet and then rifle through it without permission.


The whole incident just reminded me how glad I was to find 2old2play. I mean why should I have to defend gaming to a tipsy rude person? It still amazes me that someone would  brand gaming as juevenille while theyre acting like a freshman at their first frat party.


I sell toys for a living so I never feel bad or ashamed about playing video games. I just hope one day gaming will be as accepted by the general public as a hobby for all ages just like fishing, hunting, painting etc. Until it does, Ill still be out there defending gaming.

Hey, when you are bisexual, like Dawn is (although he is heavy on the lesbian side) you have twice the population to choose from. So, I am not as suprised as nomod is!

I love how some people consider gaming juvenile or a waste of time yet think that watching television for several hours everyday and caring about who wins American Idol or Survivor is acceptable. At least when I play Halo I’m using my brain by reacting to events, communicating, and developing teamwork. That girl sounds incredibly rude.
