Here is a really late review of Fable 3 that is all about the Game play of Fable 3  but before you read it remember I do like the other area;s of the game. I believe that the premise of the developers were to simplify the controls as well concentrate then in less buttons as it would be in other titles, wich is a good thing....if you don't wipe the gameplay itself out. One of the most annoying aspects of the game is how the combat is shallow, it's easy to make a button mashing setup for a game but when you suppose to make an so "RPG" setting you could at least put some divert combat skills other than simply shoot-slash-blast setting, it's ridiculous how you peform combos and how ranged attack itself lacks aiming, also magic system that have been a bit lackluster in Fable II got dumbed to the point that becames overpower even at later enemies, sure, the possibility of combining spells is a good touch but don't remove the feeling of a busted resource.

Characters interation took an interesting yet stupid turn: While I considered the expressions system from the previous installments dumb to the point of considering many of the expressions rather useless, Fable III removed the choices of interactions and rather put ones as an option of being nice or being mean, but notably, despite you unlock more as you progress on the game, much of them are incovenient, for instance, you are a straight-man and needs to make the town-smith your friend you dance a valse with him in the middle of the street? Especially if you see that he's straight as well? I don't think so. Other thing is nice on the paper but poorly implemented is the "Road to Rule" setting, is nothing more that a couple of steps that you unlock as you progress on the game first half looking for becoming the King; the big problem is that, unlike previously in the series you CAN'T upgrade more you character unless you keep following the main plot, so the games reward is to mantain you on the plot as best as it can, taking some of the liberty that was premised in Fable. As I told before, the game have a nice touch in many aspects, but becames easily shallow and old as a kid-garden game since becames too simple to keep up to spectations, there's other aspects in the game like the "give hand system" that is interesting for some quests, while completely stupid and unecessary for others. In overall poorly implementations and executions in terms of gameplay.
