Problems in Carolinas

Problems concerning the Whitney hotel: South Carolina's TE Weslye Saunders has never lived up to his hype. He is a poor blocker, only concerned about his stats, so if he doesn't play this season he won't be missed. A few other players involved, are starters at DT, OL, SS will either miss one game or just have to pay back the difference of the rate, which i'm hearing is a few hundred. So other than Saunders whose also involved in agent party, this hotel thing is just a secondary violation.

Moving to North Carolina, the allegations are sounding more severe. The main player DT Marvin Austin, center of player/agent party, has caused the NCAA to uncover that several of the key starters may be inelegible. Allegedely the nanny of head coach Butch Davis wrote papers for DE Robert Quinn, Austin, WR Greg Little, & another player on defense. If it is revealed that this is accurate Butch will be fired immediately, & this UNC program may suffer penalties similar to Southern Cal.

I was expecting to see this in your blog today. And, yet, I still was not ready to see it again. To say I'm upset would be a bit of an understatement. I bleed Carolina Blue... and this cut hurts. Worse yet, if it is true that Butch was that close and he is fired (and, rightfully so, I think), we might never have a good football team again. I won't go into our, as yet, unfunded stadium construction project... that is already underway.

If it's true NC team will be decimated. What could be an 8/9win team, more of 3/4 win team. Didn't know about unfunded stadium project, guess that will be left in limbo depending on penalties.
