After watching Bama/Florida I am now convinced no team in the east will challenge South Carolina offensively. It will be SC vs....Auburn in Atlanta. Not Bama, you may ask, well I'm not convinced Bama is all their hyped out to be. Arkansas is overrated w/no running game, FL is obviously horrible this year, Penn St. terrible. Carolina/Bama will be their hardest test of the year. Not entirely depending if we beat them we will still roll over other EAst teams.

I am convinced Auburn is the class of the West. I wasn't sold on them till we saw Cam Newton in person. He is Tebow like but better speed on his runs. Add 2 good backs to spell Newton in Dyer and McCaleb and I don't see bama stopping these tigers. In the rematch between SC/AU we may have chance to win, if we don't AU plays in national title game vs. Boise or Oregon.

AU are world beaters because they needed 4 turnovers to beat SC at home? They needed a missed FG to beat Clemson in OT? They needed a terrible receiver to drop a pass for Mississippi State? AU is as close to being 2-3 as they are being 5-0. I really don't care if it's got them drinking the kool-aid and thinking they're a top 10 team. That luck won't continue, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Arkansas, LSU and Alabama all beat API.

AU won't lose to LSU or overrated Arky. Bama & tigers may both be undefeated for iron bowl but Auby defeats tide 31-6 On another note gameday in Columbia for upset of year. Carolina 34, Bama 17.

While I certainly don't discredit the fact that Auburn (as well as three other teams on the schedule) have a shot at beating Alabama...31-6? AU's defense is lackluster to say the least. They are second to last in the SEC in passing defense. While being second best in the SEC in rush defense, they cannot be one-dimensional and keep Alabama out of the end zone. LSU is still dangerous, unless Miles has completely lost the team. I think the verdict is still out on Arkansas. They can't play 60 minutes of football, but then again, neither can Auburn. As for Carolina and Bama, it's too early in the week to predict a score. I haven't seen practice reports, and frankly, don't know whether Bama will come out flat or on fire. Also, we need to take Carolina's practice reports into perspective. If SC goes toe to toe smashmouth style, they'll get abused. I would imagine Spurrier is going to want to create an imbalance and attack Milliner, getting a lot of high impact plays in. I imagine Bama's gameplan will be to control the clock and win the line of scrimmage. Open up the quick passes to the flats and just wear down the Carolina defense. I wonder if we'll see Spurrier try his luck at a trick onsides kick. He's got to have something up his sleeve. Turnovers, of course, will be a big part of the game. If Garcia is rattled, he'll cough up the ball.
