Cruisin' the XBL Video Marketplace

I checked out the XBL video marketplace again today. I must admit, the whole idea is intriguing, but I'd like to read some positive download experiences before I go through the hassle. I have Netflix and enjoy it, but every so often feel the "pressure" to get my money worth. I'm on a lower price plan, but still, my cheapness shows through. It's like going back for seconds and thirds at the all you can eat buffet. Must watch more movies! The concept of paying for what I watch, having a potentially unlimited library virtually on demand and no monthly fee sounds great. It shows promise, we'll just have to see how it works once the "kinks" are out.

Lucky for me two Netflix movies showed up today. Superman Returns and MI:III, both on HD-DVD. Time to use the HD-DVD add-on. I chose Superman and the picture was outstanding. The movie, well I wasn't so impressed, but so what. MI:III is up later this week. The entire experience with the HD-DVD player has been excellent, a really great product (so far), especially if you can get it using the $40 off coupon at Circuit City.
