Back in the saddle

Yep, today was the first time I have been in the saddle (horseback) for almost two years.  It was a good feeling.  I had forgotten how much I missed riding.  I wasn't on long, just enough to test my leg strength for physical therapy.  Oddly, my ankle gave me fits before my quad. Well, I know what needs to be done.  Stretching and the foam roller on the side of my calf and leg.  Break up any scar tissue present.

I got to play with Sys, Queenie, kewlcanuck, MikeJames, and Codemonkey on the COD beta this past week and had a blast.  Yes, we lost our games, but I had a ball running around shooting and getting killed.  I completed a challenge to get my red dot for the SAW and will work on the others.  I realize that most of the others who play are farther ahead than I am, but I don't care.  I don't have the time to play as I would like.  I just enjoy the game.  In fact, it is already preordered.  Good times!

The air conditioner on the car is still out of commission.  I have talked with Honda and they are in the process of working with my local dealer to set up some kind of deal so the replacement isn't so expensive.  Echo has been helpful in pointing me to some links where I can price the replacement.  Even with the lower priced compressor, the labor and other little parts, not t mention the recharging of the system, is still over $1000.  So, I'm hoping Honda will ease that a bit, or more. I still whine and tell them I bought this car brand new, and mostly because Honda had an excellent reputation for reliable vehicles.  Not to mention, Dastard has one and we were thinking of buying an Odyssey, but this is what we are going to have to expect, maybe we should look for a different brand.?

Lastly, I will be out of town this coming week for another work assignment.  Small town in no man's land.  The hotel claims to have wireless internet, but I'll wait and see.  I hope they do since I will have an assignment for class on Tuesday night and need access to the course website to get the paper and problems.   Plus, if I get that finished, I would really like to see if I can connect to live with the console and be able to play some more Beta this week.  I am definitely hooked on that game.
