Shared on Thu, 08/02/2007 - 15:51Here it is the end of the week. Somehow I really thought my stress level would start lowering by now. Instead, I'm beginning to feel the pressure. My assignment has come to a head and the final analysis is due on Monday. I realize that is three days away and I have time to gather thoughts, data and support to write my final document. I just hate deadlines. I never feel as if I have enough time to do the final project sufficiently that reflects my best. I know, the ramblings of a woman whose husband and stepson are away for a few days, in a "hostile" environment (them, not me) and having to listen to the stress, sadness and helplessness they have in their voices as they talk to me on the phone. I can't be there but I know it wouldn't help even if I were. Frustration.
Dastard is going through arbitration today to reconfigure the parenting plan, ie visitation, communication, etc for the boys. Here and there. What starts out as reasonable items soon get twisted to fit the views of one parent and it becomes very convoluted. I know, I wish I could explain but just take my word for this: If you divorce, DO NOT USE THE CHILDREN AS TOOLS OF REVENGE!
Okay enough rant. My weekend isn't looking as bright and full of gaming as I once thought. I will be working on putting this final analysis to bed so revisions can be made on Monday, if necessary.
But, I have decided to take tonight off. I have a friend coming over and we are going to dinner and then I will introduce her to Guitar Hero II. She is a music fan and has expressed an interest in the "game." If nothing else there will be laughter and the pathetic ineptitude we both have for the xbox guitar. And fun will be had. I think I may enhance that just a bit with a little liquid concoction called a Colorado Bulldog. Havent' had one of them in a LOOOONNNNGG time. Sounds really good right now.
After that I hope to hook up with the clan for some COD action and see if I can't perfect one of my signature moves: Falling on opponents out of windows.
Would you rather
Have to always walk around with small stones in your shoes
Or
Always have smoke in your eyes?
Keep on Go!
