Halloween/All Saint's Day

As with most of you, last night Dastard and I greeted Trick-or-treaters and handed out candy to celebrate Halloween. We are in a growing neighborhood and the number of children increases each year. The parade of costumes is entertaining, to say the least. I saw Buzz Lightyear, a dragon, the Red Power Ranger ( who I mistook for a Transformer) witches and goblins, and a little pony costume. That one was tooo cute. What really struck me was the fact that as soon as I opened the door, I was crowded and the hands came out grabbing for candy. Of course, being the witch I am, I wouldn't give anything to anyone until they said "Trick-or-Treat". Boy, did I get a lot of blank looks. Like I had to shock them into remembering their manners. Of course, my favorite was the little dragon, I let him have a handful (with that small hand, he wasn't going to get much) yet, the hand hovered over the bowl. Almost like he was waiting to get permission to have more. I asked him if he wanted more and he started (like he was in a trance) and said no, then moved away. Wow, sugar induced coma while standing. Cool! At least I didn't have to deal with it!

What was my costume for the day?? Well, in my mind's eye, I was a tall, blond, 20 year old, Swedish supermodel. Do I have pictures? Heh, only in my imagination. Dastard was Mr. Olympian, again, in my imagination. I have a pretty good imagination since both of us were on the couch in sweats and t-shirts.

Tomorrow is the big day I get my wisdom tooth extracted. I'm going to have IV anesthetic and be out during the procedure. I've had it done with a local and it sucked. I even had headphones. There is no amount of music that will drown out the sound of the dentist's drill or the vibration. Should be a good couple of days to drop a few pounds. I'm thinking smoothies and shakes.

As a groom, forget the ring
Or
Be one hour late for your wedding?

Boy is that a Catch-22!

Keep on Go!

I guess I will have to ask Dastard to pick up some ice cream on the way home. I know that will break his heart.:)
