Shared on Thu, 07/26/2007 - 20:00One more Thursday night that I won't be playing with my clan. I was able to briefly log onto the site chat this afternoon just to see if I could. Unfortunately, I had to log off almost as quickly since I was in the BIG office and not my own. It's interesting to "see" how important this link to other people is to me. It was nice to pop on and have people online greet me. Kind of like a Cheers "Norm" greeting. Although, I'm not that big and don't sit at a bar all day. I miss playing Shadowrun with Tactica, Balek, Zikan and the others and of course, Call of Duty 2 with my clan guys. TexasTwister and others have said it, but the truth is that there are people on this site that I would truly like to meet in person. And I suppose if it is meant to be it will. Of course, I might try and help that along and see if a Heartland LAN could be set up in either the state of OKlahoma or Kansas, you know, the REAL midwest.
Had another boxing lesson last night. And I thought my abs were sore yesterday, They are even more so today. She added two more ab exercises to our warmup. Then we worked on blocking and bobbing and weaving. The bobbing and weaving is all ab work, much to my surprise. It isn't duck or squat and move your head, you contract your abs to bring your chest down and rotate from left to right or visa versa. Needless to say, I worked up a bit of perspiration.
I have completed one of my assignments and am working on the other one tonight, the rest of the weekend and into next week. I hope to be at a point where I feel comfortable playing some Shadowrun on Tuesday night, or sooner!
Ah well, back to the grind.
Would you rather
Have to spend every night for a month sleeping in a kennel
or
spend every night for a month in a large bird aviary?
Keep on Go!
