Need change...Hate change

Lately, I have been really discouraged with my current career.  I know it has a lot to do with the coursework I'm taking.  I'm really getting into the classes and the subsequent career opportunities.  Of course, a change in job would most likely mean a move which I can't/won't do.  I like where I am and so is Dastard.  We are firmly entrenched in our location.  So, the next thing to look at is if I could create a job opening in my area in the field I want.  Why not?  It can be done.

Then I look at the job I have now.  My boss has been extremely supportive of my desire to take classes and encourages me to continue.  It's not that I don't like my job, just that it doesn't hold any challenges for me anymore.  My work load is similar to a roller coaster.  When I have something to do, I am very busy.  On the other hand, I can be sitting in my office not doing a whole lot.  I stay busy doing class work, but that will only last for so much longer.

But, I am firmly entrenched in my career and it would be difficult to take a pay drop and start over on vacation and sick leave.  I'm in a good spot.  I can work on my own schedule, to some extent.  I know, why am I whining.  I have it very good and there are some who don't even have a job.  For that I apologize.  That is my conundrum.  I am thankful for what I have and am not a big fan of change.  Why look a gift horse in the mouth.

Ok, whine is over and I'm out of cheese.

Started COD4 SP on Tuesday and was amazed.  The graphics and fps is such that the first mission about made me ill.  The sloping of the cargo ship as it sinks and you are running along the edge to make it to your copter for extraction was WOW.  That's all I can say about it.  The first two missions are a  good exercise to get you in the mode and then they hit you with the third mission.  Granted, I'm not the best player, but I can usually bumble my way through after I get killed and see what is expected.  Nope, this one I had a hard time telling where the gunfire was coming from.  Well, it comes from all directions and there is little cover since the bullets can penetrate the dinky office cubby dividers.  I made it after four or five times.

I plan on jumping into the MP tonight and start my slow process of gaining experience points and ranking up.  But, it's clan night so it will be fun one way or another!

Would you rather
Take a 600-mile ride in the back of a livestock truck jam packed with cows
Or
Drive 1000 miles in a car without a seat back?

Keep on Go!

I hope to see you online and get a chance to play with you. I myself haven't even look at SP yet. Hope to do a little of that this weekend.
