Shared on Wed, 01/09/2008 - 12:05I'm ashamed to say, but here it is weeks past from Christmas and I have yet to send out my thank you notes. Yet, the boys sent theirs out almost the next day. They are getting really good about writing down what they get and from who and then sitting down to write them. Mom used to do that with us kids. That is where I got it. I know I should write them, it is just good manners. It would be very hypocritical of me to rant about the lack of manners in the world and then not write my own notes.
I like receiving them cause then I know the recipient actually received my gift. Okay, tonight. I will sit down before dinner and just do it.
Looks like I'm traveling again next week. Nothing like job security.
Oh, you people down in Texas, don't buy any raw ground beef products from anyone selling it door to door. Remember the stolen refrigerator unit of ground beef? Yeah, it was found but with only 20% of the original load. Someone is trying to get rid of it now.
This is a good example of what might happen when companies let their guard down with regards to food defense.
Not much to talk about. Post-holiday blahs. Work is starting to heat up, getting busy again. Project needs to be launched and documented. I'm riding more and loving it. I actually went through a short course exercise and had a blast. I'm sure this doesn't mean a whole lot to most, but it was exhilarating for me. It was a big boost of confidence, especially when a ruckus erupted on the other side of the stalls as I was rounding the corner. A horse got loose from it's restraints and my horse reacted. Two years ago and I would have been on the ground with another broken helmet and a slight concussion. This time I stayed on and in the saddle and gained control again.
Enough rambling.
Keep on Go!
