Wind turbines that aren't moving on a visibly windy day?
Fall has arrived. The colors of the leaves are changing to yellow and red. Yet, with the green that hasn't changed yet, the trees provide a nice respite to the dead and dying corn fields I'm passing.
The land is beautiful in the varied colors of rust from the unharvested milo fields, green from the newly emerging winter wheat and the brown from the harvested corn. It provides a patchwork that would make an interesting view from space.
The seasons first frost was this morning and gave everything a beautiful shine and a foreboding sense of dread of the cold weather to come.
The Chubby Pickle actually serves a varied menu and the reuben wasn't that bad. Got the stepsons Chubby Pickle shirts. Too funny.
I'm getting tired of having to type my report on a little table top desk at the end of my motel bed because the table in the room is too high and the chair sits too low. I feel like a five year old getting to sit at the adult table for Thanksgiving but not quite being able to reach the plate.
Sandwiches for meals is getting old. Yes, I bring my own sandwich makings, but the local diner isn't much more appetizing, then there is the Subway and an Oriental/American diner. Still, not the healthiest of meals.
I'm frustrated with this assignment since it looks as if I'm going to have to come back AGAIN to finish since there are more issues and problems here that need to be corrected. ARG.
(Here comes the grouch) I miss my hubby, the critters and the comforts of my home and (would you believe it) my office.
I'm looking forward to heading home on Thursday.
Would you rather
Turn around 3 times before you sit down anywhere (like a dog)
Or
Do a little jig before you go through a doorway?
Keep on Go!
