Shared on Fri, 08/24/2007 - 06:51The other day I posted I was given a token to the COD4 beta. Up
Yesterday I was able to play a few times during the day. Up
Reason, I was bedridden because of muscle spasms in my back. Down
Today is a little better, I'm able to sit in a chair as long as I sit back and tall. Bending at the waist or twisting to my left feels like I'm pulling against a frozen rubber band. Anyway, I have work that needs to be handled in a timely manner. So, here I sit.
Beta news. The first team deathmatch I got in on, for me, was tough. New maps, new weapons etc. Too cool. The players on the other hand, pissed me off. One guy was constantly yelling at his girlfriend about something. Remember that video of the timmie sitting in front of the tv yelling at his mom and then blaming her for his death? Yep, it was deja vu. Except this was someone older and then the trash talk about women between the rest of the players started. I really thought about saying something but decided not. What was the point? I wasn't going to change anyone's attitude and I didn't want to be targeted during the game I was just learning. Made me yearn for the games the clan plays. And that actually came latter. Echo and wjgjr came online later in the afternoon and we got into another team deathmatch. Much better game. The fighting was fierce. While I'm still at a level 4 most everyone else is at the highest level 11. This comes through experience points and the experience points are determined by how many games you play and then how well you do in those games. Since I'm still a below average player, my experience points come slow. But, that's okay. I'm learning to keep moving and shoot while I move. If I stop to aim and shoot, I die. Gotta keep moving. I think I will start customizing my player and see what combinations work best for me.
I like this game, the maps aren't too complicated and there is plenty of cover. To those that are registered on CharlieOscarDelta.com and haven't gotten a token, don't despair, those who want one will probably get one. There are more tokens going out each day from the initial email lottery, not to mention the countdown clock on COD.com.
I'm looking forward to the Nov. release of this game. I can see many hours of play for our clan. The many options for characters will give us a multitude of games and it will be hard to repeat the same game twice.
Keep on Go!
