W00T!

I had my physical yesterday and am now officially OFF coumadin (affectionately called rat poison).  I have completed a year of treatment following the blood clot in my lung last year.  Now I am to take one adult aspirin each day.  That I can handle.  This means that I can start riding horses again and not have to be as concerned about the consequences of getting injured.  Now, if I can just get this lower back muscle to loosen up a bit. Sitting for any length of time becomes uncomfortable.  Such is the life of an aging person.  In the words of Roseanne Roseannadanna, "It just goes to show ya, it's always something."

Of course the other number that is now ruling my life is my cholesterol level.  Too high.  Hmm, well it's lower than the 240 it was 2 years ago, just not low enough.  Guess that means more fish and chicken.  Dastard isn't going to like this much but it will be good for him too.  I must admit, now that we have another mouth to feed, the bag of ready rice or pasta side dishes just isn't enough for the three of us.  But, now is the time to change before it gets any harder.  As far as exercise, I need to decide if I continue with the boxing or start riding on a regular basis.  Unfortunately, I don't have time to do both.... or do I? Hmm, I need to do more thinking on this.

Well, yesterday's name change was fun and I'm tickled that so many people got a chuckle out of it.  I must admit, I laughed more than four times yesterday reading the names and that is what the exercise was all about, adding more laughter to our lives.  Sometimes it isn't easy.  Hope it made the day go easier and just remember it is here whenever you need a refresher on a good chuckle!
