Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks?

This has been one of the busiest summers that I can recall.  Granted, my short term memory has often failed me before, but I can't remember when, exactly.  I was sent to be retrained in my field of employment last month and I'm now trying to incorporate the new methodology into my assignments.   I spent that whole week mentally exhausted because The Powers that Be (TPTB), changed the rules a bit.  And par for the course, they won't write them down.  Can you say caught between a rock and a hard place?  I can and am learning variations of that phrase.  "Rock" being TPTB and "Hard place" being the clients I work with and enforce the regulations.

OK, I can change how I do things so it is easier for TPTB do data mine from my report (and others).  But damn, do they have to ask the same question in a different manner to make sure we know what we answered in the first question?  Oh, and ambiguous.

Of course, now I'm out and about (on the road again) to incorporate this new methodology and I'm getting the evil eye.  I can handle that since my job isn't very popular anyway, but I don't even feel I have a backup with this new verbal crap they want us to "enforce."  Rock, meet hard place.  Space between Rock and Hard place getting smaller.

Two more horse shows this year.  Much improvement from the first, but then so has everyone else.  I will be moving up to the next class next summer so the eight and ten year olds won't have to embarrass themselves when they beat me. (Damn kids, )

My gold XBL account is back to silver and it doesn't look like it's going gold until December when I graduate.  Of course, that is if I can get my statistics boys off their butts and finish with my data so I can give them the testing data.  I really hate having to wait on people to finish their jobs before I can finish mine.  Very much a pet peeve of mine.  I get too impatient.

Outta here for now.

Keep on Go!!

PS.  Durty, quit letting Dastard hump your leg when he gives hugs, I'm trying to train him not to do that!!
