Shared on Thu, 10/12/2006 - 12:05Since I first purchased Oblivion, my girl and I have been taking screenshots. At one point, I would start the game up and just run around to take screens, not even playing the game. I have submitted a few to planeteldersscrolls.gamespy.com and even made a couple of front pages. Many of my screens have been posted on the official Bethesda Message Boards but I figured I would try posting some of them here to gauge interest. I would have just made a thread in the Oblivion forum but since most people here who play Oblivion play it on the 360, I didn't know what kind of response I would get. So without further explanation:
This is my newest character Basho. He's a Tang Mo (monkey people) from the Island of Akavir. If you're unable to recognize this race, it's a mod based on TES Lore. I named him after a famous Samurai-turned-wandering poet from Japanese history. Below I have some screens titled with translated haiku from Master Matsuo Bashō.
"Another year is gone; and I still wear straw hat and straw sandal."
"Along this road goes no one; This autumn evening."
"It is deep autumn. My neighbor How does he live, I wonder."
"Traveling this high mountain trail, delighted by violets."
"Among moon gazers, at the ancient temple grounds. Not one beautiful face"
"From time to time; the clouds give rest. To the moon beholders..."
Translated Haiku from Master Matsuo Bashō
