360 Games

It has been a while since I last submitted anything, so I thought I'd go through a few 360 games with ya.  This is what I've been playing lately.  Latest first:

Catan: decent.  800 MS points for a Settlers of Catan board game translated to Xbox Live.  Some subtle differences and the trading takes some getting used to, but overall very good impression.  No demo is available, so make sure you like the game before you go in blind and buy in (unless money isn't a problem).  The achievements are logical, easily obtained (although you may have to play for a while to obtain all the victory points for some of them).  As a fan of playing "Settlers" in real-life and also on the PC, I can't wait to get in a few games with friends and see how I rank on the leaderboards after a few weeks.

Worms: Only played the demo so far, but this is a great game.  Like "Lemmings" meets "Artillery Duel" with a huge dose of "Cannon Fodder" humor thrown in.  I might have to buy this title soon.

Call of Duty 2: It ain't dead yet!  Check your friends list, you probably have some still playing this classic.  It's now cheap and very easy to learn so if you haven't played it and want gorgeous graphics, smooth gameplay, and huge replay value - I recommend CoD2.

Xbox Live Arcade "classic game" ports: Time Pilot, Joust, Galaga, Defender, etc. - all well transcribed and worth a demo if you remember the original arcade games.

Zuma - This game is pretty frustrating.  I almost wish I hadn't bought it!  Good timewaster though.

As you can possibly tell, I don't rush out and buy the $60 games too often.  The last game I did that for was Halo 2.  The next game I do that for will likely be Halo 3.  These are a nice distraction from the more "intensive" games out there like Halo 2 or GoW or Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Vegas Advanced Splinter Squad Tactics Black Arrow Warfighter Rainbow 6: 3: Thunder Island.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Vegas Advanced Splinter Squad Tactics Black Arrow Warfighter Rainbow 6: 3: Thunder Island is a great game! But the lobby system sucks.
