Shared on Mon, 08/20/2007 - 13:37I watched "Nothing but Trailers" this weekend on HDNet and I must say I am less than impressed by the new movies coming out.
"Elizabeth: The Golden Age" - lead character looks like a horror movie villain with all that white pancake makeup
"Closing Escrow" - looks very, very UNfunny
"Resident Evil: Extinction" - might be OK, haven't watched the previous installments though
"The Jane Austen Book Club" - PASS.
"Hitman" - Not having played the video game, I'm not sure if I should be excited for the movie.
"Rendition" - Good: it has Reese Witherspoon in it. Bad: This looks like another "Proof of Life" boring-as-dirt movie.
"American Gangster" - Denzel appears to be a good guy, but apparently he is not. Potential here.
"Beowulf" - A motion-capture project that looks half-real, half-creepy. I am not familiar with the classic tale, so I am not sure if I would enjoy this or not.
The movie I am most intrigued about is Vantage Point. It has a good cast and involves a presidential double, 8 different views of an assassination attempt and a few twists (apparently).
The Golden Compass, Water Horse, The Pirates who don't do Anything, Horton Hears a Who: Children's stuff
I was also browsing imdb.com and found the life story of our very own Tait: I Want Someone to Eat Cheese With
