One lady I almost met but out schedules never could mesh. She lives in Athens so there would be a lot of driving involved. I was never one for the whole long distance thing. Anyway there was another lady named Karen who sent me a few emails a while back and then kind of disappeared. She started emailing me again this weekend. She said she had moved back home for a bit (out of state) but just recently came back in town. She asked me what I was doing for the super bowl. I guess that is a normal question for people to ask each other. It did kind of throw me off because I don't really do football. Heck, I don't even know when the Super Bowl is. February I think.
So I have to say that I am a bit nervous about meeting her in person for several reasons. First off since I really don't date I really am unsure what to do. I'm afraid I'll talk too much or say the wrong thing or something and come off looking like a crazy person. Second, I've never been on a date with a woman before. This both thrills and scares me. It's something I've always wanted to do but I don't know how. Is dating a woman like dating a man? Actually now that I think about it I really hope it isn't. Sorry guys...LOL I still love you guys though. The last thing I am worried about is diving in head first and loosing my mind. I know in the past with men if I actually started dating one I would just loose my mind. I would make them my entire focus and just loose who I was. I realize now that I was trying too hard to make something happen that wasn't meant to be. I've been denying who I really am for years. I just hope that with women I can finally learn to be myself.
Anyway, so far no definite plans with Karen. I am actually hoping to try and see her before Super Bowl because I hate meeting new people for the first time when it's going to be crowded and loud. I like a first meeting to be a bit more relaxed so you can take your time and get to really know a person.
Wish me luck.
