Resident Evil 5

So I know I'm late but I just started playing Resident Evil 5 just before Christmas.  My daughter and I have been having a blast playing it.  I regret not playing it sooner but I have to admit that the demo completely turned me off.  Everything was going well until we got to the part where we are locked in some warehouse with this thing and we need to apparently burn it and then blow off some sort of nodules in order to kill it.  Chapter 5-3.  We have tried several times but can't seem to kill it.  Anyone who's beat the game...can you offer some assistance?  I'm at my wits end but I'd really like to finish this one.

I'm desparate!

Cool, just wait for the ship. That one is a little hairy, but not as bad as the big guy when you're stuck on the Hummer ;)

Yeah we are near the end of the ship level. It's kicking our ass. The main problem is we are just about out of ammo. I've given up for the day. I'll try again tomorrow.

The first time you have to use the flame thrower on the wall. you'll have to refill it a few times but it will just take time. Latter on the missile launcher will take one shot ;)

I used the flame thrower a few times. We don't have the rocket launcher nor enough money to buy one. We did try using the grenade launcher but that just seemed to piss it off.

Burn it the first time or two. the flame thrower or grenade launcher with flame rounds when the shiny orbs appear will be the quickest, but it will still take a while. Anything will work, but fire is the quickest. just burn the orbs and run, repeat.

@Fish It worked. We used the flame thrower on him twice and also shot the orbs a few times with a grenade launcher. He went down in under a minute. Thanks for the advice.
