Dania's the Bomb

Blanket statement: Dania Ramirez is an attractive and talented actress...however, her character on Heroe's bombs.
So, what's up with the Honduran twins? Maya has the black-eye virus that kills people only to have her brother apply the mystical Visine and bring these jokers back.
The dialog is lame. The acting is subpar and how do these characters advance the storyline? It's not working. These characters simply don't gel with the Heroes precedent.
Thoughts?

Dania was pretty good, at least pretty, in Fat Albert, she rocked in X-Men Last Stand and did the job in a few Soprano's episodes. I think the twins are simply wrong for the series.

I feel the same way. I guess they are trying to draw in the Latino element.

Wow! It looks like the show isn't doing her beauty any justice....But as far as the story line goes...I agree with you...But I'll be patient until they get to the US to see how it folds in with the rest of the gang.

I'm 110% in favor of Latino characters - these just aren't matching the other Heroes.

It looks to me like she brings some kind of darkness or evil, and then her brother has to suck it into him. So that's probably not too good for him. I think we're gonna see him turn into an evil bastard at some point. Their story is kinda weird right now--but maybe it will pay off. Although I never really did get used to Niki and her 'schizo power!'.

Yeah it is hard to see how it works in to the story at this point. But it plays on our fears and perhaps we will see that only a power such as hers can defeat the evil that the heroes will be confronting in the end. I guess i don't mind weird so much as the new flying boy...unless he has an evil twist I think it is just lame to put him in there as a love interest for Claire.

@Cap: new flying boy's been tagged by the man - something tells me we'll see a shift in dynamic soon

See also; Nikki and Paulo on Lost. Like Nikki and Paulo, these two will probably be killed off sometime around mid-season.

They meet up with Sylar in the next episode... I would say they wouldn't last long, but that would be weird to have all these scenes with them in the first 3 eps, only to have Sylar eat their brains. I agree though, they seem a little out of place. However, there is that virus that is going around killing the heroes, maybe they are the cause AND cure for that disease? Yeah... okay, I am now pretty sure they'll fit into the story now, because of that virus.

@Jed: still the script, acting and unit direction is 2nd rate to the rest of the squad
