Do you remember...

...the last time that you worked really hard on a project over many hours of tedious planning and execution only to have those to whom you delivered the project reject your idea and discredit your effort? So, in retaliation you generate an alternative idea that is less than perfect and beneath your personal standards because deadline has become an issue and it is this alternative that is viewed by those to whom you deliver the project as the best solution. Then, because of self-pride and a perfectionist personality you are forced to reach for your second Klonopin of the day because the first one you took to start the morning has lost its effectiveness way too soon. If you can identify with any aspect of this scenario, then you know what it feels like to be the Creative Director for a multi-million dollar organization in a luxury industry. There are days when this scenario is reversed, but they are few.
