Matt Damon Stole My Pinball

That's not entirely true but that's what it felt like a few years ago when I walked in my favorite pizza dive for a slice and a game of Austin Powers pinball. My favorite game, for which I held the highest score was replaced with a has-been Elvis rental. The owner of the shop said that Matt Damon's representative/agent had inquired about the game and Austin P. was on a truck to Matt's house. How Matt found that specific machine is still blurry. In good condition, the machines will run $3000+, so that's beyond my budget.



Forward to the present...
This weekend my wife asked what I'd want for Christmas if I could have anything. Anything? Since the question was hypothetical I named the most appropriate of two things that came to mind. Appropriate: The Austin Powers pinball that Matt bought. Inappropriate: A week at the Playboy Mansion. When I got home yesterday I remembered that a buddy of mine was raving about PinballFX on LIVE. I gave it a try and it's pretty fun. The ball physics are much better than I anticipated and the boards are fun, so its worth the $10. One major difference between the Xbox version and a physical machine is that I hammered the controller trigger so much that my wrist hurts like hell. Never had that problem before.
