MY TOP 10 MOVIE MONSTERS:

#1. Alien

I've seen them all. Alien('79 - still the best), Aliens('86), Alien3('92), Alien: Resurrection('97), AVP: Alien v. Predator('04). For me, Alien begins with H.R. Giger, the artists who's worked (famous book, Necronomicon) served as visual inspiration for Ridley Scott's groundbreaking film.

This is the scariest thing I've ever seen. Who can argue the originality of this film. Scott's direction. An oustanding cast. In total, this may be the most original movie monster to date.

Check out the alien ship. It's got Giger's fingerprints all over it. This scene was awe inspiring and epic in proportion. The big guy on the turret (or scope) is dead, but he's left a few friends lying around.

The face-hugger is another aspect of originality. It still looks great by today's effects standards. It's all over for Kane at this point.

WTH. This is one of the best scenes in movie lore. The chest-burster. Holy damn, just look at those razor-sharp teeth. This little guy is gonna grow up fast.

One of the sickest moments in the original. Before he was Bilbo, Ian Holm was Ash, Science Officer on the Nostromo. This bastard would risk the lives of the crew to bring back the alien. Corporate dick-head. That buttermilk jazz is just nasty.

Sigourney Weaver and Alien are inseparable. This film launched her career and she's made it back for all of the sequels, minus AVP. Die Bitch.

In Resurrection, we learned they could swim. Damn. Who knew?

Alien v. Predator. The iconic matchup that had some poor acting, but who cares.

Yep. This Christmas you can once again, get your fill of AVP in Requiem.

#2. King Kong
#3. Pinhead
#4. The Predator
#5. Jaws
#6. The Thing
#7. Werewolves (An American Werewolf In London)
#8. Godzilla
#9. Gremlins
#10. Pumpkinhead
