Should I get a PS3?

Ok guys (and gals), I need some advice. My birthday was on Wednesday and I have some Best Buy gift cards burning a hole in my pocket. I'm tempted to just go ahead and buy a PS3. Do any of you own a PS3? For those of you who do, should I hold off and wait? Are you happy with your purchase? Do you game on it often or use it mainly for Blu Ray and/or DVD upconvert? Does the upconvert make a big difference?

What about those that only have 360? Do you even want a PS3? Why or why not?

I anticipate most of my gaming will still be on the 360 for the near term, but I do have a bunch of PS2 games that I want to finish or play in general that I never go to (God of War 2, RE4, Okami, to name a few). Should I take the plunge?

If you want to play PS2 games, buy a PS2. Sony doesn't have enough in the pipeline this year and you can get it cheaper next year. Most Blu-Rays do not have any special features that are different than what is on the DVD version. And I personally did not find the jump in detail high enough to make the purchase worth it.

I don't really have anything against PS3. I think Sony could be doing a much better job than they are...But all the games that I want to play are on 360 or on both systems so it wouldn't make any sense to buy another system....And I bought a Wii and never play that either so...But if there's some PS3 exclusives that you're really into it might be worth it for you....
