Who's running things at SCEA?

Man what is Sony doing?  I stumbled upon this article on 1up.com:  www.1up.com/do/newsStory

So they basically are just going to mark down the 60 GB SKU to $499 until it sells out and keep one SKU at $599 (80 GB).  Give me a break (pun intended)!  I'm not sure an extra 20 GB of space is going to make people all of a sudden think the $599 price point is a bargain.  Not when the XBOX 360 Elite is over $100 cheaper.  I was looking to get one in September for my birthday.  We'll see if the 60 GB version will still be available by then.
