Figured I would throw this up because, while it really isnt a big deal, it took me all day to do this and I want to brag and get some sort of validation for my effort. ;-)
I customized my GHII Les Paul wireless. Yep...I did it.
Cost me a total of $18.78 at Michaels for the brushes, modeling paints (the little Testors ones I used to use as a kid on plane and car models). I don't think it turned out too bad for my first attempt.
Body:
I just hand painted the skull and used a THICK coating of the red paint over the white edges. (Yep..I painted over the original stock faceplate)
Lower Neck:
I know...the little skulls are pretty weak...but it looks better from a short distance. I also went over the fret riidges with silver paint to make them stand out more.
Upper Neck:
Threw some silver on the tuning knobs for a little more distinction.
I also used the fret stickers that came with the guitar cause it fit the theme and I wanted to keep the frets colored. What do you think? Let me know and I'll be sure to pop back in more often! Rock on.
