A good start...

At least I get to blog in the AM for a change! That's my silver lining of the cloud rolling around this morning. I went with the Pirate Queen to a friends wedding and reception yesterday evening. I gave her my wallet and keys to hold in her purse for the duration. So this morning I finish my morning routine (shower, flex in the mirror, dress, bowl of special k, egg beaters on a slice of wheat toast w/ a slice of cheese, a glass of juice, brush teeth, flex in the mirror again) and go to leave the apartment and realize my wallet and keys are still in her purse, which she has already taken with her to the gym before work.

Damn it.

So here I am...waiting for her to get done with her workout so she can answer her phone and bring me back my stuff. I will be late for work, probably considerably, but at the least I know everyone at work will believe my story because I forget crap there all the time.

The wedding was nice, it was at a marina on the beach and the weather was PERFECT. (Gotta love SoCal) The reception was at a resteraunt on the water that I used to frequent back in my drinking days a few years back, so it was weird to go in there and not be drinking. I had a nice time and met a few new faces and got some free food and an awesome piece of cake. Left a little early because I had to be up early for work today, but as it turns out...I should have stayed a little later being that I could have slept in since I forgot all my necessities in my womans purse!
