Throwing in the towel

To all my friends and community members at 2O2P,


Well, after a slight period of refelction this week and taking a step back away from the PC and Box, I have finally decided to take the jump. If you didn't know I have made a few changes in the past year (quit smoking, quit drinking, etc.) in hopes to improve and better myself personally.


It is with small regret that I am giving up my video game hobby. Cold turkey, complete shut down, no reboot, the 4 red rings of death forever. I have decided to leave this form of recreation for the following reasons.


1) It's time to leave childish things behind.


2) I find that I have impulses on a daily basis in real life that are a result of my video game activities.


3) The direction of gaming today has shot far to the right of what it used to be. It is no longer for fun...it takes over your whole being. For me anyways.


I realize that this might be a bit of a surprise to some of you, but it must be done. I will be removing all of you from my friends list on the box, and in WoW I will be sharding all my gear and passing it off to the guildmembers that need it, along with all my gold. I will be deleting my accounts (NOT E-Baying them) and selling my XBox 360 and all of my games and accessories.


So, I bid you all a fond farewell. I will miss reading about everyones interesting, unique, and sometimes down right hilarious life experiences in the blogs and on the forums. I wish everyone here the best and I salute to your future successes. Semper Fi!

I know its not April 1st yet...but I dont blog on the weekends and Sunday is the big day. Had to get my 2O2P digs in today! :-)
