Shared on Mon, 07/30/2007 - 15:39Results of the Prarie Punisher Duathlon (5K Run, 27.5K Bike, and 5K Run)
Prior to my bullshit drafting penalty.... Overall finished 10th out of 70 in a time of 1:37:38, and for my age group (30-34) that placed me 2nd out of 10.
Ran first 5K in 21:16, biked 27.5k (17miles) in 50:53, and ran the last 5K in 23:58.
However, I was penalized 6 minutes for supposingly drafting another biker and that left me without a plaque that the first two finishers of each age group were to be awarded. Oh well, wasnt like I was racing for an Olympic Gold Medal. 
Personally it was still gratifying. Comparing to last year, my brother'n'law and I did the same event as a team in a time of 1:38:50. This year I did the whole event myself at over a minute faster than last years team time.
