Mine occuered this past weekend while I was up at Perfect North Slopes in Indiana pretending to snowboard. I just recently started to pick this hobby up due to my younger cousin ranting and raving about it. I always wanted to try it so i thought what the heck i'll go. It being so late in the season I got a deal on all my equipment, board, boots, bindings, etc.. I figured if I couldnt stand the sport at least I would be able to get my money back out of it since several of my friends wanted to buy my setup. So here i am at the top of the beginner slope trying to watch what everyone else does and mimic it. My cousins showing me some pointers and do/dont's so I dont break my neck (or my board just casue he wants it). I actually make it down the hill on my very first try but stopping was a totally different story. My head starts to inflate a lil bit after this and I try the same slope again, this time a lil cocky..except for the whole stopping thing. 15 feet down, then I fall, face first with my legs goin over my head tumbling down, goggles split my cheek open from the force of the impact. After an afternoon of falling I finally get the hang of it and the local snowboard teacher or whatever they call themselves says that he hasnt seen too many pick it up as quick as I did. Nice ego boost! The next morning im sooo stiff that I can barely get outta bed and walking up stairs is a choir unto itself. The phone rings and its my cousin asking if I wanna go again today. Hell no! I can barely even move, he scoffs at me callin me old and that he'll be back later for some GOW. Smart ass youth! At lest I can kick his ass in Gears!
