Caught in the Rain

So I work a lot.  Four or Five shifts in a row, 12 hour shifts, on my feet most of the time.  At my age, it takes a lot to do that, so I HAVE to keep in shape.  I work out on this non-impact machine I have in my bedroom, and I try to get a walk in when I can, sometimes a difficult thing to fit in.  So I worked 5 in a row, my first day off, and I work out a bit and decide to walk to the video store.  It’s a little overcast, but warm and breezy so out I go.  It’s a nice walk, not too long, about a mile and a half each way.  Not too busy on the roads, nice shoulders to walk along.

By the time I get to the blockbusters, it’s starting to drizzle a little.  I’m still hopeful; it threatens a lot around here.  I ask for a bag to carry my new videos home.  I’m not stupid.  As I exit the store, it starts this sweet, gentle, soaking rain.  I smile and look up at the clouds.   The heat is rising in steaming waves around me.  I walk along, glad I have my bag.  I am completely drenched in a few minutes, but it’s good.  Then it starts to pour.  Sheets of water.  Hardly able to keep my eyes open.  But it’s still nice.

Those nice shoulders to walk along I mentioned before…are now rivers…with currents.  Most of the people driving by slow down and move into the middle of the road as they pass me.  Occasionally, one or two take some sort of evil pleasure in driving closer…splashing a wall of water on to me.  But it’ still good.  I am reveling in feeing the water run down my legs and into my shoes.  Its still warm, refreshingly wet.  My hair is dripping.  My hand gripping the blockbuster bag is a funnel for the water coming off my arm.

When I start to feel the chill of rain water running down the front of my stomach under my shorts and down my inner thighs, I start to get concerned about my cell phone in my front pocket.  I use my hand to try to keep more water from getting into that area, without  much success.  Luckily by that time I was nearing an auto body shop with its bay doors open.  The guys there were sooooo witty and solicitous.  “Is it raining yet?”  “Got a little wet?”  I just smiled, moved my cell into the blockbuster bag and went on my way.

Of course, by the time I arrived home, the rain had stopped.  All in all an extremely refreshing and cleansing event, I must say.  I haven’t been caught in the rain for way too long, must try to have it happen again soon, I think.

BTW, never wear a pink bra with a white t-shirt if caught in the rain

Since i see boobs all the time I will be able to get past that picture. (BTW, nice rack) I LOVE walks in the rain. Growing up in the Pac northwest probably has something to do about it. Some of my favorite memories with my sisters are from walks in the rain we used to have on purpose.

I highly reccomend dancing like an idiot in the rain in your backyard once a month. Keeps you sane or insane, depending on your perspective ;)

One word of advice, next time you walk in the rain in a white shirt, don't wear a bra at all and then post the picture here! :P

Thanks a lot for sharing. You have done a brilliant job. Your article is truly relevant to my study at this moment, and I am really happy I discovered your website. However, I would like to see more details about this topic. I'm going to keep coming back here.

But I guess it's better than no bra at all (depending on your viewpoint).

I was going to say something about the non-impact "machine" in your bedroom, then I saw that picture and lost my train of thought.
