Two Good Things

Well, two good things happened last night.

1.  I finished the main quest of Oblivion.  Now if I can wrap up a few ends (theive's, fighter's, & mage's guilds), I'll put this game on a shelf for a while and focus on Vegas.

2.  My wife got another free game from a developer for her to look at.  My wife is a freelance writer, mainly focusing on health and family, but also branching into other stuff.  She had previously gotten a copy of a kids game (which stunk), but last night she got a free copy of Peggle from PopCap.  Now if I can keep her in this vein of writing, maybe we can start getting games for the 360 for her to review.

My wife's an avid casual gamer, enjoys stuff like Zuma, Bookworm, (and now Peggle), but hasn't really console gamed since Mario cart for the N64.  I'm trying to drag her back into it.  I was thinking Viva Pinata might be a good "gateway" for her, any other suggestions?

Did she play any of the arcade games? Pac man, Centipede?

cool, let us know what she thinks from a non-gamer POV. I want to get my fiance hooked ona game so I can get that second 360 I have been wanting.

Only Zuma for now. She does love the 360 for the ability to grab shows if the DVR freaks on us.

get her to review Mutant Ninja Zombies from Hell. I think that game will get her back into casual console gaming.. :) The Lego Universe games and the Cars game are supposed to be fun for casual gamers. I think you were right with your first instinct though. Viva Pinata seems to be the game of choice for casual gamers. If she liked the Sims, she'll like Viva.
