So while I'm without a console I figured I'd blog through the process of getting the stupid thing serviced.  I figured the max turn around time should be no more than 8 weeks.  We'll see how well we actually do.

11/27/2007 First graphic corrupting screen freeze
11/29/2007 RRoD + call to support.
12/02/2007 The machine no longer passes POST, no matter how long I leave it cool.
12/05/2007 (or 12/06/2007, I wasn't home) Coffin arrives
12/07/2007 Packaged and dropped off at my local UPS shipment location.

The box has a 3 day ground UPS sticker on it.  Time to start stalking the tracking number on it's way there.

That's 10 calendar days from first sign of trouble to return shipment.  Add another 5 calendar days to get the box back to Texas before we can see how long the turn around is to get the machine back.

Good luck! On my system, it took SEVEN days to get there. I don't know what UPS was doing... Return trip only took two days. SC

Usually the turn around time is pretty good with them. However, I have read a few complaints on the site that the one they get back doesn't work either. Good luck!
