Shared on Thu, 07/28/2011 - 22:15So it's Matt's bday this Saturday and today is his day off, so we met early, watched Breaking Bad season 3, made chocolate cake balls (yum! And note: don't use white chocolate dipping sauce, use almond bark), then spent a lazy afternoon at the pool. Now for the best part...
We ate at Rafain, a Brazilian churrascurria, Matt's fav restaurant. We started with the antipasti and some cocktails, then came the meat, then we had more cocktails and some fancy Brazilian coffee. I ate so much meat I think I'm gonna poop a cow. There was leg of lamb, prime rib, parmesan crusted pork, garlic filet mignon, beef ribs, pork ribs, lamb shanks, lamb chops, bacon wrapped chicken, chicken leg, and the house special beef picaena. O M F G it was so good it was unholy. I'm so happy, and moreover, so is the birthday boy!
So we had more food that is safe to consume in a two hour period, waddled our way to the car and have been chillin on the couch, watching TV. I'd say it's a pretty darn good day. Saturday we're doing the real birthday party over at his parents' house. I got him awesome presents, and managed to find literally all but one of them on sale. I am thrilled. As long as he likes them I'm happy. Here's a link to the best present, albeit the cheapest: http://evolvefish.com/fish/emblems.html Look at the T-Rex emblem. That's the one I got him. He has an evolve fish on his car which dropped off just days ago, ironically, so this is the perfect time to replace it. Woo hoo!
For his bday cake he actually requested my tiramisu banana pudding. :) I'll make it tomorrow, let it rest overnight and get the flavors to all soak in. Oh yum, I'm so full and already I'm looking forward to that one.
