New to 2o2p

Howdy. I thought I'd throw a quick background here, rather than the new in town thread.

As the profile says, I'm a 34 year old gamer in the Seattle area (Kenmore, WA). I'm a pretty casual gamer. Though I've been LAN gaming in one form or another for about 15 years, I'm very new to gaming against people, who I don't already know face to face, out on the interweb. Online, I pretty much stick to FPSes—Shadowrun & Halo 2. Though, I was getting into Uno for a little while there. :-) Offline or in LAN games, I enjoy a variety of genres.

I was a Windows gamer for many years, but the rat-race of hardware upgrades got old, especially since I don't choose to use Windows for the most part. So, I'm console only these days.

I have a 13 year old son who is, of course, into gaming. It's interesting watching him play. Though he's a really good kid, he has _some_ Timmy-like behavior, even when I explain to him how others' feel about it. It must be some weird developmental stage that's only arisen in the age of online gaming.
