One more satisfied customer

Today started out great.

A customer brings back an automatic waterer that I sold him yesterday. He wants a refund because it leaks. Fair enough defective product get a refund or exchange.

I open the box and look at it and I see that it is put together wrong. I point this out to him. Bad move on my part. He gets all defensive and says he followed the directions included with it. I then tell him nope if you had it wouldn't leak. I take it apart in front of him and put it together the right way. It took all of 3 minutes. He looked flabergasted and still wanted a refund. I calmly tell him there is nothing wrong with it and I can give him store credit less 15 % because I will have to sell it as used instead of new. He tells me to forget it and he will never shop here again and storms out.

The customer that came in behind him asked wha that was about and I tell her he was trying to bring back an item that looked like a retarded 4 year old put together. She gets all red in the face and tells me her son is mentally retarded. I fire back don't let him put together waterer's.

Great day losing two customers in 10 minutes. Is it closing time yet I sure could use a drink.

Mr. Sensitive! You can thank the fine folks at Wal-Mart for the general public's view of what is and isn't an acceptable return policy.

ouch, thats no good. For real if you put in security cameras with audio you could make up in video sales what you lose in customers.

thats awsome!!! I got fired from Bass Pro shop when I was a teen, because some old fisherman fuck was arguing with me on the price of a spinner bait, it was like $6 and he said he wasn't paying more than $4, for it, it was $4 at Wal-Mart, and he called me some punk kid, so I told him to take his old cheap crusty ass to Wal-Mart and get out of my line.....little did I know that a corperate head was in my line behind the old man........thus resulting in my firing and thats why I dont work with the public anymore

Keeping your sanity and self respect is worth losing a customer once in a while. Besides do you really want the worst of the worst idiots wandering around your store, asking stupid questions and wasting your time because they never learned how to read directions? Let em go wander around some other store and make those people miserable funny story.
