You never forget your first

As some of you know I purchased an Xbox 360 on Saturday and have been playing it to death ever since. Last night I decided to play a game online for the first time. That is for the first time using anything other than a PC. I bought a used copy of Halo 2 and juped into a slayer match. Coming from a PC gaming background made the adjustment a little jarring at first. It took me a while to navigate through the options until I just let the Xbox choose a match for me. I played a slayer match with 7 other players. Using a controler in an FPS os probably the biggest change for me, it's taken some getting used to. But, I think I did pretty well all things considered. I came in 3rd place out of 7. I LOVE FPS games, that's pretty much all I played on the PC and so far Halo 2 seems like a lot of fun. I'm hoping to join up with one of the Halo 2 clans here.

Xbox arcade has probably been my favorite feature so far. I've purchased geometry wars and Street Fighter 2 with the free points that came with the bundle. Overall I'm very impressed with gaming online with a console. Xbox certainly makes it much easier to hook up with friends online. You can see when your friends are online and see what they're playing. Speaking of friends, I could use more. I only have 2 at the moment, I hope that I can get that number to increase. The only other game I have at the moment is PGR3 but I'm not really into racing games, it too came free with the bundle. So if you see me online give me a shout. I can't guarantee I'll be much help since I'm still new to this, but I'll try.
