AotS asks - Is PC gaming dead?

No of course not, what a lame question. Dead is dead, not getting slower and less games being developed for it.

I have to think that is the dumbest question they have polled in a long while.

I dont PC game often anymore, since consoles IMHO have a superior game linie up, easier system to play off of and superior game play most of the time. But there are still PC only games out and coming out, there are PC only games that can never be brought to a console and work (adventure point and click titles for example), unless full keyboard/mouse support does come to consoles and it works perfect.

AotS must think if they start getting semi flame baiting they can improve their ratings.

PC gaming is alive and well. I Personally don't PC game much anymore, too much hassle. But the PC will always have more power for better gaming than a console ever will IF .... you want to tinker and spend endless amounts of $ constantly upgrading. Console gaming looks pretty nice, doesn't have the same hassle factor and is way cheaper.

Does this show typically cater to emo kids? Sounds like "Dead" really means..."uncool". PC gaming is far from dead. WoW has more active gamers than people that own 360's. Company of Heroes is the 2nd best game I played all year and its PC only. Etc, etc... I really think the complaint of cost depends on the users base computer. Sometimes its unfounded. Thats a whole different debate. Yeah, the troubleshooting is a big problem for the average user. Gamepad support is still sketchy on the PC. Some games are alot better on gamepad, imo racing and alot of 3rd-person games. Ease of use is even nice for the hardware junky.
