For some reason it infuriates me to no end, people who just hate company XYZ because they are haters and wont admit it. They say they love gaming but wont play a Sony or Microsoft console or will only play a PC thinking that their once choice is the best and their is no other. Is there only one movie genre or book author or TV show or woman for you? Hell no we love variety and usually only a single woman will let us play with her, but we like variety.
I have owned every console since the original Atari and while the PS3 is a console I wont buy because of costs, lack of faith in the sony hype machine, and for the next couple of years zero games that appeal to me, I do understand why people want it, unless its the only console they want. Sony has showed in the past they can deliver some amazing console experience and some current and future PS2 games are going to be great, but the PS3 beyond a ebay flip and skip, really doesnt sound like a console that will deliver. It wont deliver in power (it isnt 12 times more powerful then the 360, maybe 10 percent, but its coming out that the Architecture actually is limiting).
The Wii could be a single console for some people who just want quick game play chunks with out the power playing. It will be my 2nd console (for this generation) mostly for the Virt Console.
If you must be a fan boy, be a game fan boy. Play more then a single console or gaming platform. If you stick with one, you have no real right to say what console is better or worse.
Just my opinion
