Halo 3 Beta woes

I never realized it, but the power of Microsoft.. forcing people to buy the Halo 3 beta for 60 dollars is impressive, no simple jedi mind trick. /sarcasm off

Seriously tho, people need to stop bitching and moaning about not getting into the beta and being forced to buy the H3 beta via  Crackdown. Its not like Crackdown is a bad game, its getting great reviews, your not being forced to buy shit, it is your choice if you want the beta, and you didnt win and dont want to play the MP Halo games to get in, you either buy Crackdown or you dont.. stop fucking crying that your being forced. Your not. Microsoft and Bungie are not raping you, your not buying a demo and getting Crackdown for free (talk about insulting to the Crackdown devs) and lastly grow up, we have seen this how many times? FFXII with DQ8 is the last one to come to mind..

well put Fal..well put. I am also tired of people complaining that H3 is going to be 360 only and that they are going to have to get a 360 to play it. They are making it 360 only because it is more powerfull machine and can do more things with it!!! end rant.

I agree lbsutke. I'm one of those that still own the 180 only. I'll get a 360 when Halo3 comes out, no bitching. Why? Because it's Halofucking3 damn it. Finally, something worth buying a 360 for!

Kudos to you for saying what I'm sure many of us were thinking. You're right, no one is forcing anyone to do anything, what's going on here is that people who preorder Crackdown are given a really nice bonus, and that's what it's primarily meant as. In some cases, such as a friend of mine, it's incentive to purchase a game that he or she is contemplating getting anyway, this just speeds up the timeline. As far as those people who will buy a $60 game (speaking of which, what happened to the promise of MS-published titles being only $50?) for a beta of another $60 game they'll buy later.... lame. Sure, you can sell Crackdown once you unlock your beta, but when Amazon is flooded with copies that all these people are trying to resell it's going to really lower the bottom line. Great for those people who want to play it but don't want to spend a lot of money though. Why would you make a $60 game (Halo 3) into a potentially $100+ game (Halo 3 + purchase - resale of Crackdown) just so you can play it a few months early? Just put Halo 2 back in your system and try to keep your eyes off the calendar.

NorthernPlato: What.... you don't think Cabela's Alaskan Adventure is a 360 system-selling killer app? ;-)
