I'm glad you guys have found a band that means alot to you. I mean that's what music is anyway. I personally feel Kurt was the 90's version of the punk movement. Very under produced music to counteract the over produced crap that was on the radio at the time be it disco or hair metal. It served it's purpose and gave rock -n- roll a much needed boot to the ass. I had never heard of Nirvana until Smell like teen Spirit. I thought that song was awesome and went and bought the record the next day. Man, that had to be the absolute worst album I have ever heard. I took it back later that day and asked for a refund. There were some good "grunge" bands such as AIC or Soundgarden. But to me, Kurt has fallen into the same category as Jimmy Hendrix and Janis Joplin. They are considered great because they died too soon, not because of their talent. Sorry if I rained on your parade here. I don't want to start a flame war or anything. I just love talking about music and Nirvana has always been a sore spot for me. Peace

I second the King's opinion. While influential, not really worth a second listen in my book. Look what Dave G has gone on to do- Foo Fighters are better by leaps and bounds, but will probably not have the impact. The fact that Kurt gave such gravity to the nonsense he put out, whereas Dave is as lighthearted about his music as a casual listener even when sharing the sincerest of his songs. Love that guy's sense of humor.

At risk of being banned from the site, I will say that if you like Hendrix it's probably because of the crack you've been smoking.lol Jimi is completely overrated. He only has one decent song and he didn't write it. Bob Dylan did. We will just have to agree to respect each other's views. No matter how wrong your's may be. j/k.
