Pet Peeve

Okay, I have this pet peeve when it comes to friends, family, co-workers, and even bosses. If you ask me to spend a weeks worth of my time on a project and dont like the results........PLEASE, PLEASE.........just tell me, I am not the kind of person that will get pissed and go on a tyraid becasue you dont like my work. Just Don't go behind my back and try to hide the fact that you are redoing everything I worked on..........I am an adult I can handle criticism!

This happened to me at work. I was asked to take over  project for someone that was to busy to do it. Fine, I did not want to do it and knew that it was not my kinda thing but the boss asked so I did it. Well, when the final draft was handed out everyone raved about how good it was. A couple days later the printer calls and the person that was originally supposed to do the project in the first place says I'll take that, okay no problem. BUT.....she takes the phone into the other room and talks to them with the door shut for about 10 minutes. OKAY, I know it wasnt perfect work maybe it needed some kinks worked out. NOPE.....I ask her if I need to email the rest of the pictures to the printer and she says no, The boss and I are just going to redo it.......................I was livid. But not for the reason you all might htink. I wasn't mad becasue my worked sucked.....I knew I was in new territory and it was all new, so constructive criticism was more than welcome. I was upset about the secrecy of the whole redo! You can redo it all day if you want, I welcome the help.... Just let me know why so I can do better in the future!
