Pay Attention!!!

Why is it so freaking hard to get people to pay attention? Most accidents could have been solved by people paying attention. Most arguments result from someone not paying attention. Shoot pretty much any conflict could have been avoided if everyone was paying attention. Why oh why is it so difficult for people to pay attention?

I sent my wife to the movie store to get a specifc movie "Monty Python: Meaning of Life." That night when its time to watch the movie I get it from the car because she forgot it in there and she rented "Monty Python: Life of Brian." WTF. Was it really that hard for her to freaking pay attention to what she was doing?

This isn't the only example of her not paying attention. So the other day when she didnt do something right or the way she said she would, WTF happen? She replied "i wasnt paying attention." Seriously WTF. I responded with "dont you always pay attention to what you are doing?" Instantly and without thought she responded "sometimes I do, sometimes I dont." Are you kidding me? Is it just me or should I not let this bother me so freaking much???

Saturday night we were both out at different places. I went out to watch the UFC fights and she went to the store. When I came home the garage door was open and the garage heater was still left on. I asked her why should would do this. She said she didnt do it on purpose and it was an accident. MY THOUGHT: she wasnt paying attention again, but she wont admit it. Someone could have came into the garage and stolen tons of my tools and other possessions. What is worse they could have got an easy entry into the house and taken her and my daughter. All this could have happened from her not paying attention.

Not to pick on my wife or anything.. but this is really eating at me and everytime I try and discuss she acts like I am treating like a 6yr old. I wouldnt have to treat her like a 6 yr if she wouldnt act like one. Plain and simple IMO.

Anyone else have this issue or thoughts on how to fix this shit?

Or is it just me?
