Ok i have seen a lot of people stating that the graphics for the PS3 (MGS4) are not that good and they are not that impressed?
After watching the videos again and again i couldnt figure out how people can say that the graphics are not that good?
I looked at MGS4 and then GRAW for the 360 as this is probably when of the better graphic games on the 360. When i done this i thought MGS4 is one of the 1sst games for the PS3 and GRAW isnt so it should be a bit unfair on the PS3 but just see.

I know that MGS4 is video and GRAW is gameplay but when the NEXT gen consoles were launched they said there is no difference between gameplay graphics and video so i thought this would be ok for a comparrison :)

How can people not say that the graphics are much sharper for the PS3 and clearer? The colors are much much more vibrant and looka te all the detail?

I thought MGS looked excellent it was enough to make me want to play it big time. Things is also this is still a work in progress on a console thats not even out so it is fair to put it against GRAW which wasnt out at launch? It was MS that stated you wouldnt be able to tell the difference between video and gameplay in a presentation they were doing for the 360 :) Unfirtunately as well there are not many games out that better the graphics for GRAW hense why i used it as it is a similar kinda game :)

I think you were talking about me.. I said MGS didnt look that impressive, enviroment wise, the textures are bleeding and not great detailed. The MODELS on the other hand are amazing and hte MGS 4 character models are the best seen in a video game IMO MGS4 isnt one of the 1st PS3 games it is still over a year away, and they had the very first PS3 SDK

Initially I wasnt impressed by it, but it looks good, just dissapointed its such a short game, but that is something many launch games suffer from

Hmm i always found Sony Playstation games to be bleached of colour or maybe just leached a bit. This is just my opinion but the xbox games seemed to be more lively in the colours. I dont know whether this will translate into the next gen but it has already influenced my opinion.

That was the case with teh PS2 and the xbox but only because the Xbox was a more powerful console.

Hideo Kojima said in an interview that they could run MGS4 on the 360 and look as good as the PS3

That would a year after the console has been out and people understand the programming better but would still like to see it on the 360 would save me getting the PS3 sooner than i need to :)

GRAW was one of the 1st games for the 360. 3 months after launch is still considered first generation. And you can't compare video to gameplay. Running videos require very little use of the CPU and will definitely look significantly better than actual gameplay. When they say that "there will be no difference between gameplay graphics and video," they are blowing smoke up your ass.

Yeah, video cut-scenes are one thing. In game actual gameplay is another totally. Sony's rep on pre-rendered vids and actual gameplay graphics isn't perfect. If the gameplay looks that good, then yes, it's superior. But that's a big IF.

Yeah. Alot of people have said that the stills for MGS look better than seeing it in action. And I've seen both the high-def trailer and compaired it to GRAW in high-def on my new sweet monitor. Graw looks better IMO. MGS looks good...just not as good.
