Here is the lastest on the blue tooth port.  It's all up and running.  Now I am just working on the looks of the controller.  I am going with a battle scared theme.  Olive drab with flat primered red buttons, scorch marks, serial numbers, a bullet hole or two...........I am going to try and put a ripped metal piece on it, also.  If it doesn't bother the blue tooth signal.  I am going to match my Trittons to the controller so they look like military cans.  I am a little hesitant to mess with those puppies, though.

So what's going on in this project? I'm a little late to the party. I guess it's a BT attached to the controller with mic/ear plugs. Does it draw power from the batt or do you have to plug it into it's own charger?

Yeah, just a BT in a controller. The Tritton headphones were made for the 360 and PC's pretty much. I stuck the BT in there because now I can use the Tritton's without running another cord to the PS3. It allows me to also put an adapter that has a mute switch on it right at my thumb so I don't have to take my hand of the controller. I have a little house and my kids get loud. It's good for muting farts, too!! You can plug pretty much any headphone in and make it blue tooth. It gives you a wider variety to choose from. I have two seperate batts. right now. I can link them together but I haven't worked with batts for a while. I tried it and fried one BT. The controller and the BT both draw 3.7V. I thought they could just link up. But the BT didn't like that idea. I wanted it up and running fast, so I just put two batts. in and I will figure it out later.

Nice, I game while the wife sleeps so I ripped apart a set of usb headset and cut the scart cable up and soldered the audio into the headset controls. It aint pretty but it works. Now, I'm thinking about wireless. So, are you thinking about the dpad and analog stick swap? It looked do able to me but I just ran out of time and energy.
