Now you don't have to run an extra USB line to the PS3! Which by the way cost about 50 bucks. This adapter will be only a couple of inches wide when finished. And yes.......puts a mute switch and master volume at your fingertips. also, my next step is to put a line jack in so you can plug your PSP into your chat. I just got Traxxpad so I can compose music and have a buddy at the other end listen to it clearly. Or, if there is a band you like and want someone to listen to. Just plug it in. Or......play the Bee Gees during COD4 so everyone on your team will hate you? Keep in mind that this isn't finished, please. All that perf board (the brown board) will not be there. It's just easy to work on. I have a good idea of what the finished product will look like. And it's actually almost done. Remember......this is the extremely rough prototype.
I use a port off of a 360 because I will generally use a 360 headset. But, anything will plug into that center jack. You could go to walmart and pick up your preference of PC headsets.
This blue tooth board will be in a nice small case that will attach to the PS3 controller. Here I have an adapter attached that adds a mute and master volume. Then I plug my 360 headset into it. I know it's friggin big and ugly right now. but, all of this will be compacted and I will fit it just under the sticks.
Here is the reason I started this project. To make it so I don't have to run a USB cord from my Trittons to the PS3. And I don't have to mess with the audio accessory settings everytime I want to game. Just flip it on and go. Plus, Two big complaints that Tritton owners have are the thumb mute switch and a master volume instead of 3 dials to mess with on the headset.
Lastly......the PSP jack......because traxxpad rules!!!!! Seriously.......you gotta check that software out!
