Shared on Sat, 05/14/2011 - 18:27Yesterday the hockey world lost a gentle giant in Derek Boogaard of the NY Rangers and formerly of the MN Wild. On the ice Derek was a force to be reckoned with, an enforcer of the highest power. Off the ice he was a gentle caring individual that always had time to talk to a fan even a head case like me. He will be greatly missed and the world is a better place because he was here.
