stop charging me for fuel

hello blog, im back.

Why the hell is Papa Johns charging me a $2 delivery fee?  Is it becuase of the outrageous $1.70 a gallon your paying for fuel??  Why did everyone jack their prices becuase of gas, then when the gas prices go down, still charge for fuel??

So when the delivery guy shows up at my door and charges me $16 for a large pizza, I give him a dollar for a tip.  He looks at me with dissapointment on his face, and I understood his pain, i once was a delivery boy myself, but we never charged for delivery so my tips were usually generous.  So as he turns to walk away without thanking me for my business I gave him something to think about..."hey man, if you add the $1 that i just gave you to the $2 your boss is charging me for delivery, you would have a pretty good tip for driving less than 5 minutes down the road".  He gives no response, walks to his car, gets in and drives away, without ever making eye contact with me again...i was standing on the front porch untill i saw his tail lights.

I wasnt rude at all, and would have been more than happy to give a better tip if he could have explained to me where my $2 is going.  Does he get the $2 delivery charge?? Does papa get it??  I want to know who gets to keep this fuel delivery charge...anyone have a clue??

needless to say I wont be ordering pizza from that papa no more, and will be picking up my pizzas from dominos or pizza hut--which sucks for papa becuase i eat pizza a lot.
